Van Dijk & Eger

Van Dijk & Eger, design agency, established by Mathijs van Dijk (1950) and Arthur Eger (1950) in 1979 as an engineering firm for product development. Both have studied industrial design at the Delft University of Technology. Van Dijk was the manager of Pelgrim (cooking and heating appliances). Eger had worked at the Stichting Academisch Rekencentrum Amsterdam (SARA). The agency was occupied with a wide range of products such as bicycles, child seats, coffee machines and payment machines. The agency merged with engineering firm PI in 1986. Eger left in 1996 and he consecutively became a project manager at science centre Da Vinci, the director of Space Expo in Noordwijk and a professor of product design at Twente University. He wrote for magazines such as Product. The agency has been renamed to WeLL Design.
