Board members

Elke den Ouden (1967) has a Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a PhD in Technology Management from  Eindhoven University of Technology. She has worked for over 20 years in various innovation-related positions at Philips. Since 2000 she has been employed by TU Eindhoven in various roles, including professor of Business Process Design at the faculty of Industrial Design. She has various publications to her name, such as the book Innovation Design: Creating Value for People, Organisations and Society.

Tet Reuver (1959) studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven (formerly AIVE). She was a member of the management team of DAE for over 20 years. She was board member of Dutch Design Week Eindhoven, head jury member of the Dutch Design Awards and jury member of the Piet Zwart Award. Other board positions include at Het Zuidelijk Toneel (HZT), the European Ceramic Work Centre (EKWC) and member of the Brabant C advisory committee.

Timo de Rijk (1963) is an art historian and since 2016 the director of Design Museum Den Bosch. He was previously Professor of Design History at Delft University of Technology and Leiden University, and Professor of Design Cultures at VU University Amsterdam. He has curated several exhibitions and produced many publications in the field of historical and contemporary design. De Rijk was chief editor of the Dutch Design Yearbook and chairman of the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO).

Robert van Rixtel (1961) studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven (formerly AIVE). He was a board member of the Nederlands Archief Grafisch Ontwerpers (NAGO) and the Wim Crouwel Institute for a long time, taught at the DAE for ten years, and was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Dutch Designers (BNO). He is the driving force behind the heritage series Roots and the website www.dutchgraphicroots.nl. He publishes on a daily base online about design (heritage) via www.dutchdesigndaily.com. He is an honorary member of the BNO.

Hans Robertus (1952) studied at the Design Academy Eindhoven (formerly AIVE). He worked at Océ for 10 years and at Philips Design for 20 years. After that, he was director of the Dutch Design Week Eindhoven for over five years. Now, he is a.o. a board member of the World Design Forum foundation (WDF), lecturer at the Erasmus Academy in Rotterdam (Design Thinking in the Public Domain) and board member of the Stokroos Foundation.
