Claudy Jongstra

Claudy Jongstra (1963), textile designer. For twenty years, studio Claudy Jongstra has been occupied with designing and manufacturing works in textiles for public buildings in healthcare, knowledge institutes, libraries, museums, and private clients. Her work is characterised by the use of natural materials, vegetal colours, and old, forgotten crafts. Jongstra received the Prince Bernhard Culture Fund prize for Applied Art and Architecture in 2008 and she received the DOEN Material Award for sustainable and innovative use of materials in 2010.
